Abstract

In November 2021, inflation was 0.34 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 109.61. Commodities that experienced price increases with the highest share of inflation in Kotabaru included broiler meat, cooking oil, wet shrimp, mackerel, and eggplant.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in several indexes of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 0.96 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.06 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel groups by 0.06 percent; household equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 0.57 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.49 percent.

The inflation rate for the calendar year (January–November) 2021 is 2.05 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2021 to November 2020) is 2.69 percent.
